Product Brief

Whatever your needs for data capture and storage, JADTech's Silent Hawk^® product line offers solutions that are flexible, platform-independent, and 100% reliable. JADTech offers Silent Hawk solutions that can be adapted to any environment.

Requirements

A PC running any one of the following:

DOS 5.0 or higher
Windows 9x
Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista with Ethernet
Linux - Call for details

A Centronics parallel interface or an RS-232 serial printer interface as your data source

Data can then be transmitted from your source to a file on a local or remote PC, archived, printed, formatted, displayed or otherwise processed to meet your needs.

To capture data with a hard copy generated, select the Silent Hawk I, XE, or YE Model.
To capture data without generating a hard copy, select the Silent Hawk II, SE, or TE Model.
To capture data and have the option to print with or without generating a hard copy, select the Silent Hawk I, XE, or YE together with either our C-100 Null Printer and an A/B switch.
For simple file segmentation, select any Silent Hawk together with our Automatic File Segmentation (AFS) Option; the AFS Option is free with the Silent Hawk XE, SE, YE, or TE Models.
For IEEE-1284 protocol analysis, select the Silent Hawk III Model.
For IEEE-1284.4 or MLC protocol analysis, select the Silent Hawk III Model with the IEEE-1284 Decoder/Analyzer Option.
To recognize and segment many different types of documents, select the Silent Hawk XE, SE, YE, or TE Models with our Unique Document Segmentation (UDS) Option.
To recognize, format, display, messages or data in real-time, select the Silent Hawk XE, SE, YE, or TE Models with our Real Time Display (RTD) Option.
To view the same capture file on multiple PCs over Ethernet while data is being captured, call us and ask about the Remote Viewer Application.

To capture data to a central location while printing from multiple systems, both local and remote, multiple Silent Hawks can be deployed to accomplish this. Since the Silent Hawk is fast as well as reliable, data acquisition for conversion applications can be done in hours or even minutes.

Most important, your data will never be lost!

All Silent Hawks come with the hardware needed for data capture. The data to be captured is transmitted over a Centronics (or PC printer) interface. If you need to capture data transmitted over an RS-232 serial interface, Serial-to-Parallel Conversion Kits are available. A file viewer is included with the Silent Hawk I & II Models. Technical support comes free with your purchase.

JADTech Corporation has provided and can provide custom applications for post-processing of captured data for many Silent Hawk customers. Custom programming is available to Silent Hawk customers at the rate of $32.56 per hour. A fixed price can be negotiated if a detailed product specification is provided.
